           Standing Committees

cheetahicon.gif (351 bytes)Standing committee chairmen are required to attend monthly board meetings or have someone from their committee attend in their absence.  A standing committee functions throughout the school year. 
cheetahicon.gif (351 bytes)Monthly board meetings are designed so that each committee is able to present information that needs board approval.  Committees meet prior to the Board Meeting to discuss and decide how they plan to perform their tasks. 
The information is then brought to the board.  Committees receive authorization from the board to spend funds and/or proceed with a project.
