| The programs and activities that the PTA offers your
students could not be accomplished without the generosity of our volunteers. Whether
you have many hours to give or just a few, we value you as an important part of our
success. In our desire to contribute to the students and families of Cedar Valley we
will be adopting a goal of providing enriching Reading and Science programs
for the 2002-2003 school year. Many of the programs and activities of the PTA
will be centered on this goal as well as providing some fun and excitement. Parents, grandparents, and
community members are all welcome to assist us. You will see that some of our
committees are still looking for leadership, and if you have not chaired a committee in
the past, we encourage you to consider it.
All committees have
procedure books which give written details by the previous chairperson about how to
run the activity. So even if you are unsure, you have a contact person, and
information to get you started.
Please take a few
minutes to browse through our list of programs and learn about each committee, whether it
is a one-time event or year round program, and how volunteers can help. Then contact
PTA by email with your interests.
The table below
provides a link to each committee and the color of the bookworm's hat tells you how much
time is involved in chairing that committee.
Green Hat indicates low
level of commitment
from the chairperson.
Yellow Hat indicates medium level
of commitment
from the chairperson
Red Hat indicates
High level of commitment from
the chairperson.
Keep in mind that
while Red Hat Committees are more complicated, there are many volunteers working
under the chairpeople on those committees.
